Man Killed In Crash On Sunrise Highway Service Road
Police say his car struck a tree Tuesday morning.
BAYPORT, NY — A 37-year-old man died after he his car crashed into a tree off a Sunrise Highway service road Tuesday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk police, Erik Schreiber was driving a 2008 Nissan east on Sunrise Service Road, east of Church Street, in Bayport when his car left the road and struck a tree at about 8:30 a.m.
Schreiber, of Islip, was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Fifth Squad detectives at 631-854-8552.
