Multiple Rounds Of Snow In The Long Island Forecast
Just when all the snow had melted...here we go again. Check out the updated forecast.
Temperatures approached 50 degrees Sunday on Long Island, but Mother Nature is fickle and she plans on reminding everyone that it's still winter for another seven weeks.
There are multiple snow chances in the work week forecast.
Monday started out dry, but a wintry mix of snow and rain is possible in the afternoon before the precipitation becomes all snow at night.
No accumulation is expected on Long Island, which is a change from earlier forecasts which called for 1-2 inches in Suffolk County. Any snow should end by early Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday look dry, but forecasters say there's a 30 percent chance of snow on Groundhog Day Friday. And don't look now, but there could be more snow on the way next Sunday, the NWS says.

Monday Afternoon- A slight chance of rain after 3pm, mixing with snow after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Northeast wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday Night- A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly between 8pm and 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northeast wind 8 to 13 mph.
Tuesday- Cloudy, with a high near 34. Wind chill values between 20 and 30. North wind 6 to 9 mph.
Tuesday Night- Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 19. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind 11 to 13 mph.
Wednesday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 31. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable.
Wednesday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Thursday- Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44.
Thursday Night- A chance of rain after 9pm, mixing with snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Friday- A 30 percent chance of snow before 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38.
Friday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 18.
Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 30.
Saturday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 23.
Sunday- A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
