New Deli And Bakery Brings Vegan Options To Sayville
A local mother-daughter pair is teaming up to launch Clementine's this Friday.

SAYVILLE, NY —Chloe Jones is a Sayville native who finally found the right location for her first deli and bakery. Clementine's Plant Based Deli & Bakery will open Friday at 4836 Sunrise Highway.
Jones and her mother Cira Jones, who she is opening the vegan eatery with, found the location through their long-time connections in the Sayville community. The pair was visiting women's dress boutique Eva Sayville where they often shop, sharing their business idea and the long search for the perfect location. The boutique's owners, who own the strip of stores, had a vacancy, and Clementine's became a reality.
Jones told Patch her interesting in baking and cooking was inspired by becoming a mother and "wanting to know what was in the food, and then I fell in love with cake. If i found a flavor profile I loved I wanted to put it in a cake. It became a passion."

Clementine's food is all vegan and plant-based: cookies, ice cream, cake and comfort food entrees. Jones says she plans to always have a healthier option on hand.
It’s "a place you can go and not wonder what’s in the food," she says.
