Owners Of Smith Haven Mall's The Pizzeria Take Over Tony's
The Bayport pizza joint is undergoing renovations by new owners after local favorite Tony's Pizzeria closed in October.
BAYPORT, NY —Tony's Pizzeria in Bayport closed last month, but new owners are working to reopen the site as The Pizzeria, a second location of their Lake Grove pizzeria in the Smith Haven Mall. The pizza restaurant at 606 Montauk Hwy. was undergoing renovations Friday as it gears up for an opening. No official opening date has been released.
Tony's issued a goodbye statement on their Facebook page:
"After 22 years of serving the Bayport/Sayville community, the time has come for a new chapter in our lives. We would like to thank everyone who showed us tremendous support over the past 22 years and helped our business grow. You are all our second family, and words can’t express our gratitude. We promise you all that we are leaving Tony’s in very good hands."

Tony's operated for two decades as a local favorite. The Pizzeria's menu contains classic slice varieties and more exotic variations like Thai Chili Chicken.
