Police Release Additional Info On Blue Point Hit-And-Run
The crash left a 76-year-old bicyclist critically injured earlier this month. Police released additional photos and videos.

BLUE POINT, NY — Suffolk Police released additional information on Monday on a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a 76-year-old man this month. On April 6, Frannie Columbini, of Blue Point was riding a bicycle northbound on Blue Point Avenue just before noon when he was struck by a black SUV making a left-hand turn from Blue Point Avenue onto Middle Road, police said.
The SUV fled the scene eastbound on Middle Road. Columbini was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
As of Monday, the driver is still at large. On Monday, police said that the car was a black 2007 to 2014 Lincoln Navigator. The vehicle has tinted windows and gold New York license plates. They also released another surveillance video of the car involved in the crash which can be seen below:
