SAYVILLE-BAYPORT, NY - People from all across the country — including Sayville and Bayport residents — will get the chance to cast their votes and elect their representative on Tuesday.

Election day - Tuesday, Nov. 5

Candidates

Islip town:

Supervisor - Incumbent Angie Carpenter (R) is being challenged by Thomas Murray III (D).

Town clerk - Incumbent Olga Murray (R) is being challenged by Joseph Fritz (D).

Receiver of taxes - Incumbent Alexis Weik (R) is being challenged by Donovan Currey (D).

Town council - Incumbents John Cochrane Jr. and Mary Kate Mullen are being challeged by Jorge Guadron and Leigh-Ann Barde for two open seats.

Suffolk County executive - Incumbent Steven Bellone (D) is being challenged by John Kennedy Jr. (R) and Gregory-John Fischer (Lib).

Suffolk County legislature district 8 - Incumbent William Lindsay (D) is being challenged by Anthony Piccirillo (R).
