Sayville's Hardware Store More Than Ready for Snow

Sayville's resident hardware store, Brinkmann True Value Hardware, on Foster Avenue, has everything in stock for the winter season and was seeing a steady stream of customers Tuesday seeking snow melt, shovels and other basics for dealing with the minor snowfall.

An small army of snow blowers stands at the ready outside the front of the store, and there are plenty of shovels and other items homeowners and businesses need to deal with the four expected inches of snow.

"It's been steady, no crazy rush. Most people are buying basics," a store clerk told Patch Tuesday afternoon.

The store's hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and they're open til 6 p.m. on Sundays.

Brinkmann also has a location on Montauk Highway in Blue Point and offers the same items.
