Sayville Resident Promoted to Professor at Farmingdale State College
Lynn A. Marsh, a Sayville resident, has been promoted to full professor in the dental hygiene department at Farmingdale State College.

Lynn A. Marsh, a Sayville resident, has been promoted to full professor in the dental hygiene department at Farmingdale State College.
Dr. Marsh joined the dental hygiene faculty in 2004 as adjunct professor. In 2007 she was promoted to assistant professor and then associate professor in 2012, and currently serves as the assistant chairperson of the dental hygiene department. She won the Farmingdale College Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award in 2015.
Her educational background includes an EdD in Educational Administration, Leadership and Technology from Dowling College; an MS in Health Services Administration from SUNY Polytechnic Institute; and a BS and AS in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale.

Dr. Marsh is a prolific writer, publishing in many professional journals. Her research focuses on dental hygienist attitudes toward willingness to volunteer care for the underserved population. She has presented her research at many international research conferences.
Her professional memberships include the American Dental Hygienists Association, New York State Dental Hygiene Educators Association, Long Island Dental Hygienists’ Association and Sigma Phi Alpha/National Dental Hygiene Honor Society.
