Sayville School District Among Best In Nation For Music Education
The district has been honored by the National Association of Music Merchants for the past 12 years.

Renowned for being a District which values the arts, Sayville has again been honored with the “Best Communities for Music Education” designation in the USA in a nationwide survey by NAMM (the National Association of Music Merchants). The Sayville Music Education program first received this accolade in 2004 and has won it consecutively for the past twelve years.

NAMM’s Best Communities for Music Education designation, now in its 22nd year, is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Sayville Music Department answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were verified with school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
