Police ID Motorcyclist, Pedestrian Killed In Sunrise Crash
Police say a man was walking back toward his disabled car when the crash occurred Friday night.

BOHEMIA, NY – Suffolk police have released new details on a crash that killed two people on Sunrise Highway Friday night.
According to police, 61-year-old Kazimierz Wiszowaty left his disabled 2005 Toyota sedan on the right shoulder of eastbound Sunrise Highway and was walking southbound under the Smithtown Avenue overpass back toward his car when he was struck by a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle that was traveling in the right lane at about 9 p.m.
Wiszowaty, of Holtsville, and the motorcyclist, 23-year-old Robert Pappas, of Patchogue, were pronounced dead at the scene.
