Town-By-Town LI Snow Total Estimates For Super Bowl Sunday Storm
A winter storm warning has been issued for the island.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A winter storm warning has been issued for Long Island as a second powerful storm in less than a week sets its sights on the region.
The storm warning will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Most of the island should see 6-8 inches of snow, the National Weather Service says. The snow will likely fall at a rate of an inch per hour during the heaviest snow late Sunday morning and early afternoon. That rate could top 2 inches per hour on the Twin Forks where snow totals are expected to be the highest.
Almost all of the snow should fall during the daylight hours Sunday. The storm should be on its last legs by the time Super Bowl LV kicks off at 6:30 p.m.
