Traffic Advisory: Work Taking Place On Route 27A This Weekend
Drivers should expect road work on both directions on the road from Fifth Avenue to Sunrise Highway at the Oakdale Merger.
TOWN OF ISLIP, NY - The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Thursday that there will be road work scheduled on Route 27A this weekend. Construction will take place on both direction of road in the Town of Islip on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During that time there will be a roadway surface maintenance operation beginning at Fifth Avenue and heading east to State Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) at the Oakdale Merge. This will be a moving operation with no lane closures expected.
