UPDATE: Sayville MS Closed To Students After COVID-19 Case
Students will be attending their virtual classes on Friday while school officials investigate the coronavirus case.
SAYVILLE, NY — Sayville Middle School is closed to students on Friday while officials investigate a positive coronavirus case at the school.
On Thursday, Superintendent John Stimmel announced that the district received word that a person at the school tested positive for COVID-19. It was not specified if the person was a student or staff member.
As a result, out of an abundance of caution, all Sayville Middle School students were asked to stay home and attend their virtual classes following their regular bell schedule.

The Suffolk County Department of Health will notify those who were found to be in close contact with the person after the contact tracing investigation.
