Advocate for the Blind and Scarsdale Resident Mary Jane O'Neill Dies at 92
She was a journalist who transitioned to public relations and advocacy.

An advocate for the blind and former journalist Mary Jane O’Neill of Scarsdale died Feb. 4 at age 92.
O’Neill was the wife of Michael O’Neill, the former Dailey News editor, according to an article in the New York Daily News.
Mary Jane O’Neill was born in Detroit and live in Scarsdale for the last 50 years.

She transitioned from journalism to public relations, eventually becoming the Westchester Lighthouse NY Association for the Blind’s public relations director, the Daily News said.
O’Neill later served as CEO and executive director of the Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration.
