The Center@862 Offers Fencing Workshop and Classes
The Scarsdale-based teen facility is offering an introductory workshop for free. The six-week course costs $90.
The Center@862 is launching a six-week fencing course this month.
“Wield a foil, saber, and epee and stun the opposition with simple attacks; baffle their defenses with simple feints,” organizers said in an email. ”This introduction is for beginners of all athletic ability.”
First up is a free introductory workshop on Monday, Sept. 21 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The six-week course, which costs $90, starts the following Monday, Sept. 28, and runs through Nov. 2.

Cotton T-shirt, long sweat pants or jeans, thick cotton socks and laced sneakers are required. All fencing equipment will be provided.
