Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Miao: CityMD opened its first Westchester location in 2014 in Yonkers. We also have locations in White Plains, Mamaroneck and Eastchester, with over 120 sites spanning the metro NYC region.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Miao: CityMD prides itself on being able to deliver the highest level of care with board-certified physicians staffed at every location. We are happy to be able to take care of patients who might otherwise need to go to the emergency room. If your problem is not life- or limb-threatening, generally CityMD can take care of you. It's a pleasure to be able to deliver the highest-quality care with convenient access to the community.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Miao: Serving kindness with a smile.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Miao: The biggest challenge is the continual push to innovate and improve the health care delivery process. We are constantly looking for ways to make our patients' experiences better!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Miao: Taking care of patients who otherwise wouldn't have access to quality health care. The more locations we open, the more we realize how much unmet need is out there. It is gratifying to bring high-quality care to all of our patients.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Miao: We coordinate well with primary care physicians and specialists to give people the access that they need and have a complete aftercare department that is here to help facilitate your path to recovery by assisting in the coordination of referrals and follow-up appointments.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Miao: Work hard and treat everyone as you would want to be treated.
