Cold Creeps Back: Leap Week Weather in Scarsdale

An approaching storm will spread rain over much of the Northeast during Tuesday and Tuesday night, said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski. And after that, a return to winter.

“Colder air will continue to settle in behind the storm during the balance of the week,” she said.

At the end of the work week, along with much colder temps — highs only in the low 30s — there might be something. But probably not.

We’re watching a potential coastal storm for Friday...This is a very low probability event for the Hudson Valley (20% chance). In fact, in a normal winter… we probably wouldn’t even be talking about it,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.“ But in a winter where snow is a figment of imagination, every minor threat becomes a talking point. So we are watching for the potential of a storm churning up the east coast, and spreading snow across our area on Friday.”
