Scarsdale Home Destroyed in Fire
A few firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and/or fatigue early Monday.

SCARSDALE, NY — A massive fire ripped through a Scarsdale home Monday morning. The exact cause of the fire at 72 Mamaroneck Road is unclear, though it is thought to have started in the lower floors of the house.
Subzero conditions made fighting the fire difficult, and firefighters had to retreat several times due to the fire periodically burning out of control, the Journal News said.
Village Manager Steve Pappalardo said the family got out of the house safely. A few firefighters were treated for smoke inhalation and/or fatigue and were released.
