Five celebrity chefs are on tap to bring culinary delights to a brand new Scarsdale festival that will kick off on September 22. Rafael Palomino, Missy Chase Lapine, Ken Arnone, David Dibari and David Burke will be the chef superstars who will be serving up their best at Scarsdale SoWe Food & Wine Festival. You may have seen Burke on television, where has has been on shows such as "Top Chef Masters," "Every Day with Rachael Ray" and "The Mentor."
The new SoWe Food & Wine festival is being put together by Scarsdale resident Rich Baumer.
"One of my daughters, Casey, graduated from Culinary school and interned at The Food Network, while I was involved with live rock concerts," says Baumer. "Chefs have become today’s rock stars while the culinary world has exploded in our culture. After meeting with the Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce, local merchants, restaurants, chefs, charitable causes, and enthusiastic foodies in our community, I realized a well executed, upscale event  in our Village would be a giant, fun party, and could help a lot of people at the same time." Â
The festival will take place on Chase Road, Spencer Place, Harwood Court and Boniface Circle. And tents will cover the entire event in case it rains.
