SCARSDALE, NY — A former coach for a Catholic School in Scarsdale admitted he molested students 50 years ago. The acknowledgement of abuse was in handwritten notes to his lawyers and in the margins of one of the lawsuits file against him and the Archdiocese of New York.

Edwin Gaynor, 85, will be deposed, according to a judge, over objections of the Archdiocese's lawyers, the Journal New reported. The lawyers felt he might not be competent.

Multiple lawsuits were filed in 2019 claiming students at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scarsdale were abused by Gaynor.
