Former Westchester Real Estate Heir Durst To Stand Trial
He was accused of killing a friend who was going to be interviewed by the police.

SCARSDALE, NY — Former Scarsdale resident and New York real estate heir Robert Durst will have to stand trial for murdering a close friend 18 years ago. A judge in Los Angeles ruled Thursday that there is enough evidence in the point-blank shooting of Susan Berman, the Journal News said.
Durst is accused of killing Berman, 55, in her Los Angeles home Dec. 25, 2000.
The theory by prosecutors is that Durst killed Berman because she was going to be questioned by police about the 1982 disappearance of his first wife, Kathleen Durst.
