Lifestyle Medicine for the Young Student – Equip your children with resilience to bounce back from stress in this mind-body workshop hosted by Hoff-Barthelson Music School and presented by Juna Bobby, M.D., on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. The workshop, free of charge and open to the public, will be held at the School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale.

There are many rewards, but also many challenges facing young students and their families today. Sadly, we often hear about burnout. The American College Health Association has reported “overwhelming anxiety” in 50% of all students. The great news is that resilience, the ability to bounce back from upsets, is a life skill that can be learned.

Scientific research supports the value of mind-body medicine, positive psychology, emotional intelligence and therapies such as meditation, exercise, diet and sleep. Come and learn about the tools and techniques that can help the children in your life cope, thrive and achieve their full potential.

Dr. Juna Bobby specializes in teaching empowering skills in a fun and relevant way using neuroscience and the science of emotions. She teaches a full year curriculum at NYU School of Medicine and is a frequent guest lecturer at Columbia Law School.
