Incoming DA Rocah Announces Transition Team

SCARSDALE, NY — Westchester County District Attorney-Elect Mimi Rocah announced her transition team Tuesday.

The former federal prosecutor, who lives in Scarsdale, has chosen to veteran law enforcement leaders who will lead 12 committees chaired by experts in criminal justice policy, leaders in law enforcement and victim advocacy and partners from community organizations and services.

Zachary Carter, the former United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and most recently the former New York City corporation counsel, will co-chair the transition team with Leroy Frazer, a former New York City prosecutor of 38 years.

Rocah said the the transition team was ambitious, "because I have an ambitious agenda.

"The breadth and depth of this team, with criminal justice experts and community representatives, should be a sign to the people of Westchester that I mean to deliver on our goals of finding innovative approaches to public safety and increasing transparency and community involvement," she said.

According to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections, Rocah, a Democrat, received 64 percent of the vote. Republican Bruce Bendish dropped out of the race in September, but still appeared on the November ballot, receiving 36 percent of the vote.
