Other forecasters are expressing skepticism.

“For all the hype and buzz around this storm… for all the questions… this is all there is. A weak low pressure system fails to organize and intensify off the east coast Monday night into Tuesday, and spreads light snow across the Hudson Valley and northeast as it pulls away,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather.

According to the latest National Weather Service forecast, if we see snow from that storm, it would start Monday afternoon. Snow is likely in Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties Monday and Tuesday, and there’s a 50 percent chance of snow on Wednesday.

Major snowfall or no, enough snow to make for slippery conditions could come from the two storms. Also, both will renew the threat of coastal flooding along the mid-Atlantic and New England coasts, said Kristina Pydynowski, Senior Meteorologist with AccuWeather.com.
