A search will begin as quickly as possible for her replacement.

SCARSDALE, NY — A new principal for the Fox Meadow Elementary School has been selected. In a recent letter to the community from Superintendent Dr. Thomas Hagerman, Assistant Principal Melissa Feinberg was announced as the new principal for the school.

The official appointment will occur at the Monday, April 29 board of education meeting. She will take over the position effective July 1.

Hagerman said Feinberg came to the school as assistant principal in July 2018.

"In less than a year, Melissa has embedded herself in the life of the school, nurturing supportive relationships with students, parents and staff," Hagerman said, "and partnering with Interim Principal Karen Eldon to ensure a smooth transition after the unexpected departure of Fox Meadow's principal and assistant principal."

The district will begin a search for a new assistant principal as quickly as possible.
