Pedestrian Struck, Injured By Car In Greenburgh

This is the seventh pedestrian accident in the town in recent months.

GREENBURGH, NY — A 14-year-old was struck by a car Thursday in Greenburgh and was taken to the hospital. Around 8:20 a.m., police responded to Central Park Avenue near Campus Place after the boy was hit by the vehicle.

The initial investigation found the teen was crossing eastbound when the car, driving southbound in the left lane, struck him, the Journal News reported.

The driver stopped and tried to help the teenager. The boy was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he is in stable condition.

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner said in an email that this was the seventh pedestrian accident in recent months in the town.
