Ridge Hill To Hold Tree Lighting, Santa's Visit

YONKERS, NY — The holiday season is getting underway at Ridge Hill in Yonkers with its Tree Lighting Ceremony and Santa's arrival. The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday with the tree lighting.

Organizers said you won't want to miss Santa's entrance by firetruck, the lighting of the 45-foot tree, musical performances by The Mistletones, a local children's choir and a local dance school performance, plus a "magical snowfall."

Pre-show activities for kids begin at 4 p.m. including cupcake decorating, a hot cocoa bar and a "Frozen 2" giveaway.

The first 200 children will also receive a light-up snowflake wand, while supplies last. The children must be present to receive it.

Sensory Friendly Visits with Santa

Hours: 8:30am – 10:30am

Santa welcomes all ages and abilities! This sensory-friendly holiday event in partnership with Autism Speaks allows families with all spectrums of special needs to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with Santa, in a comforting environment prior to public hours. Furry-Friendly Visits with Santa

Dates: November 21 and December 5
Hours: 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

The Mistletones
Location: Fountain Plaza
Dates: November 30, December 7 & 14
Hours: 4 p.m.-6 p.m.

The Mistletones, contemporary acapella carolers, will be spreading cheer and performing everything from classic carols to modern holiday songs. They will add magic and joy to your holiday season!

Yuletide Singers
Dates: December 1, 8 & 15
Hours: 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Enjoy listening to traditional Victorian carolers as they stroll throughout Ridge Hill.
