Rocco Di Renno: Former Police Chief

Rocco Anthony Di Renno of Mahopac, formerly of Ossining died peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 1, 2014, he was 85.

He was born Oct. 4, 1929 in Ossining to Antonio & Rose (Maratzo) Di Renno.

Rocco worked as a Police Officer for the Village of Scarsdale retiring as the Acting Chief of Police in 1976.

Rocco is survived by his daughter Patricia, son Stephen (Margo), grandsons Gregory, Shaun, Michael (Andreanna), great-grandson Antonio Rocco, sister Antoinette Dias and numerous nieces, nephews and too many cousins to list; all of whom loved him dearly. He was pre-deceased by his wife Antonette, brothers Fortunato & Anthony and grandson Anthony.

He will be reposing Mon. 2-4 & 6-8pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Tues. 10am at St. Ann’s Church, burial St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
