Scarsdale, Edgemont On List Of Best Districts For 2020
Scarsdale and Edgemont are two of 65 Hudson Valley school districts high in the new New York rankings, Niche.com says.
SCARSDAE, NY — Scarsdale and Edgemont are two of New York's above-average districts, coming in high on a list released by Niche.com ranking school districts in New York for the 2019-20 school year.
Niche ranked 693 districts in New York. Many of the Empire State's top districts are in the Hudson Valley.
Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: academics; diversity; teachers; college prep; clubs & activities; health & safety; administration; sports; food; and resources & facilities.

The Hudson Valley district top-ranked in the state is Scarsdale. Niche gave Scarsdale an overall A+ while in clubs and activities it received an A and in diversity only a B. Edgemont ranked No. 17 and had an overall grade of A+.
To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)These Hudson Valley districts made the top 300 (here's their state rank):
