Scarsdale Psychic Sentenced For Fortune Telling
The woman had pleaded guilty to criminal possession of stolen property.

SCARSDALE, NY — A psychic from Scarsdale was sentenced for telling their fortunes and bilking customers out of money. Janet Lee, 45, had pleaded guilty to criminal charges and was sentenced to one-year conditional discharge Tuesday in Westchester County Court.
Lee, who had billed herself as "the Greenwich Psychic," was arrested in Bedford in 2018 in connection with the transfer of more than $11,000 from a woman for her fortune-telling services.
She pleaded guilty to fortune telling, and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and to pay restitution to the Thornwood/Mount Pleasant victim of $7,500.

She also pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property iand was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, and to pay restitution to the Bedford victim of $2,424.
The charges are both misdemeanors, and the sentences will run concurrently, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

At the time of her arrest, police said they'd received multiple complaints about Lee's stealing thousands of dollars, though the crimes were committed in Connecticut and other jurisdictions in Westchester County.
