Teacher On Leave Over Inappropriate Conduct With Student
The incident at Woodlands Middle/High School is not considered by police to be a criminal matter.

GREENBURGH, NY — A teacher at the Woodlands Middle/High School in Hartsdale has been placed on leave after being accused of inappropriate conduct with a student. A letter to the community that was posted on the Greenburgh Central School District website said the matter has been referred to the proper authorities, including the Greenburgh Police Department.
Superintendent Tahira A. DuPree Chase said the district cannot provide further comment given the referral to law enforcement and the fact that it is a personnel and student matter.
"However, please know that the district places the utmost importance on our students' safety and well-being and that all of our actions in this matter have been for the purpose of ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our students," she said.

The situation, according to Lt. Kobie Powell of the Greenburgh police, was not a criminal matter but was an isolated incident involving an 18-year-old student, the Journal News said.
