Westchester Man Killed In Fiery Brooklyn Bridge Crash [WATCH]

The multi-car inferno tied up traffic on a major New York artery.

SCARSDALE, NY — A 32-year-old Scarsdale man was died as a result of a fiery crash Wednesday on the Brooklyn Bridge. Kristopher Hambas was killed in the six-car crash on the Brooklyn-bound side around 7 a.m.

The fire that ensued engulfed three of the vehicles and snarled traffic on the day before Thanksgiving.

NYPD said the preliminary investigation revealed that a 48-year-old operator of a 2004 Ford pick-up was traveling Brooklyn-bound on the bridge when it rear-ended a 2017 Nissan, which caused the Nissan to strike the center median, according to a press release.

After the initial collision, the Ford rear-ended a 2017 Volkswagen, which caused the Volkswagen to strike the southside cement barrier and then caught fire.

The Volkswagen rear-ended a fourth vehicle, a 2006 GMC SUV, that struck the rear of a 2003 GMC SUV, which then struck the rear of a 2010 Jeep Liberty.
