Five Below Coming To Shirley

SHIRLEY, NY — There's a new store coming to a popular Shirley shopping center, according to Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico.

"Many people ask about this question, so this morning I spoke to the representative for the owner of the South Port Shopping Center, who confirmed that Five Below is coming to the location formerly held by Famous Footwear," Panico wrote on his Facebook page.

Ulta Beauty, he added is taking the space formerly held by Lane Bryant and the Mattress Firm space after the shopping center owner knocks down the old laundromat on Montauk Highway and builds the new location for Mattress Firm.

"Those plans have already been approved," Panico said.

Public relations representatives for Five Below confirmed the news: "We are happy to announce that we are opening in the South Port Shopping Center in Shirley," adding that the opening is currently slated for March.
