LI Man Raped Girl He Met On Snapchat: Police
He communicated with the girl on Snapchat for several weeks before arranging a meeting, police say.
MASTIC BEACH, NY — A Mastic Beach man was arrested and charged with raping an underage girl in his home on Monday, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, Renato Oliva Garcia, 22, of Hemlock Drive, was arrested by special victims section detectives on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and charged with first-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
Oliva Garcia communicated with the girl on Snapchat for a few weeks before setting up the meeting; he picked up the underage girl near her home Monday morning, police said.

He will be held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, police said.
