Man Crashes Car Into House, Charged With DWI: Police
The car rolled over and careened through the wall of the home, police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — A Shirley man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed into a house early Monday, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, the crash took place at 12:25 a.m. at a home on Floyd Road South in Shirley.
Jefersson Soysos, 19, was driving a 2011 Kia Forte south on Chanel Drive East when he headed through the intersection at Floyd Road South, struck a brick stanchion, overturned, and careened through the front wall of the residence, police said.

The only person home in the residence at the time was not injured, police said.
Soysos was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and scheduled to be arraigned at a later date, police said.
