Person Barricaded In Shirley Home; Schools On Lockout: PD
A person was barricaded in a home on Floyd Road in Shirley, police said.
SHIRLEY, NY — A person was barricaded in a Shirley residence Tuesday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, a call came in at 10:15 a.m. about the individual barricaded in a home on Floyd Road.
Schools in the area were on lockout, as they always are; although police initially reported that schools were on lockdown, they were on lockout, school officials said. Precautions taken included moving recess and physical education indoors, officials added.
