Police ID Female Pedestrian Killed In Bellport Crash

BELLPORT, NY — Police have identified a female pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Bellport early Thursday as Kristen Henaghan, 48, of Holtsville.

According to Suffolk County Police, Lloyd Richards, 26, of Bellport, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic eastbound at 12:30 a.m., about 50 feet east of Station Road, when he struck Henaghan in the roadway.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said. Richards was not injured and no charges were filed, police said.
