Police ID Skeletal Remains As LI Woman Missing Since 2014

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Police have identified the skeletal remains found in a Mastic Beach marsh in early May as Lisa Westford, 58, of Mastic, who had been missing since 2014.

Westford was reported missing from Mastic Beach; her remains were found at 1:35 p.m. on May 2 on Washington Drive near Forest Road East, police said.

Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call saying a body had been found by a cleaning crew; officers found the skeletal remains in the marsh, police said.
