William Floyd Parkway Ramp Shut Down Due To Overturned Excavator

No injuries were reported, police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — A ramp from the Long Island Expressway to the William Floyd Parkway was shut down Tuesday due to an overturned excavator, Suffolk County Police said.

The Suffolk County Police Department's seventh precinct officers responded to the single vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m., authorities said. A dump truck was pulling an excavator and the excavator overturned on the ramp from the eastbound LIE to the William Floyd Parkway, police said.

The ramp from the LIE was closed while the crash was cleared, police said.
