Shirley Man Killed In Long Island Shooting
BREAKING: The man was shot in broad daylight on Wednesday, police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — A Shirley man was killed in a Port Jefferson shooting Wednesday afternoon, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, David Bliss Jr., 25, was shot in front of 122 Main St. around 3:35 p.m., police said. He was found on the ground with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, police said.
Police are looking for the shooter. Detectives asked anyone with information to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
