William Floyd School Budget Breezes Through
BREAKING: Voters also approved two propositions on the ballot.

MASTIC-SHIRLEY, NY — The results are in, and the William Floyd School District's proposed 2021 to 2022 school budget vote passed by a margin of 1,323 to 458.
At the April 20, 2021 budget adoption meeting, the William Floyd Board of Education adopted its proposed $251,311,607 budget, which calls for a 0 percent tax levy increase and a 2.32 percent budget-to-budget increase.
"This budget, which maintains all student programs, clubs, sports, and other opportunities, is fiscally conservative for residents while providing long-term multi-year sustainability for district operations. The Board of Education has continued to put forth fiscally responsible budgets as evidenced by staying at or below the tax cap limit for the 10th consecutive year," the district said.
