Amazon Bookstore To Open In SoHo: Report
Amazon will open a second physical bookstore in Manhattan, The Real Deal reported on Monday.

SOHO, NY — Amazon will open its second physical bookstore in Manhattan in SoHo, according to The Real Deal.
The real estate news agency reported on Monday that the online-retail giant would open its store at 72 Spring St. Amazon opened its first physical bookstore in the city in May, in the Time Warner Center shopping mall near Columbus Circle. The Columbus Circle store was Amazon's eighth brick-and-mortar store to open in the U.S. The company also has plans to open a bookstore in the Herald Square area in the future.
Amazon describes its bookstores as "a physical extension of Amazon.com," which "integrates the benefits of offline and online shopping to help you find books and devices you’ll love," according to its website. The books are displayed facing outward to "communicate its own essence," and they are selected based on customer ratings and sales numbers on Amazon.com.
