Blood Orange Brings Pop-Up Shop to American Two Shot in SoHo

The British singer/songwriter joins the pop-up craze bringing his new line to the SoHo shop for the weekend only.

SOHO, NY — Yet another musician has entered the pop-up fray in SoHo. Blood Orange, the pseudonym of multifaceted musician Dev Hynes, is bringing his line of gear to SoHo shop/cafe American Two Shot for this weekend only.

The store was originally scheduled to be open on just Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., but they decided to extend it to at least Saturday. A store employee said it "might" be extended to Sunday as well. A selection of exclusive shirts and hats will be available at the store at 135 Grand St. Olivia Wolfe and Steph Krasnoff opened the store in 2012 as a place to sell designer merchandise — and pick up a coffee at the same time.

Hynes shared the news on Instagram on Friday afternoon.

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and if you're lucky and they do extend the sale to Sunday, they'll be open from noon to 6 p.m.

Hynes, 30, was raised in London, but moved to New York City in 2007 and has lived there ever since. He's co-wrote and produced songs for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Carly Rae Jepsen and appears on Solange Knowles' album "A Seat at the Table" released this week.

He released his third album under the Blood Orange moniker, "Freetown Sound," in June.

A host of musicians have opened pop-up shops in the area recently. Kanye West opened a pop-up shop in mid-August in Tribeca, Shawn Mendes opened one at 168 Bowery last week, and Future had a store at 76 Wooster St. in late July.
