Carnegie Deli Pop-Up Lands In Lower Manhattan With $1 Sandwiches

The eight-day revival will bring back the deli's loaded pastrami and corned beef sandwiches.

LITTLE ITALY, NY — Towering sandwich shop Carnegie Deli will reopen as an eight-day pop-up in Lower Manhattan — two years after the iconic Midtown eatery shuttered.

The Jewish deli's revival comes as a promotion for the second season of Amazon Prime Video's "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," which follows a 1958 housewife as she begins her sudden foray into standup comedy.

Carnegie Deli shuttered it's Midtown restaurant on New Year’s Eve in 2016 after 79 years of earning a reputation for its heaping plates of pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, and amassing an extensive celebrity clientele — framed photos of famous patrons lined the Seventh Avenue restaurant's walls.

All proceeds from the experience are slated for the Lower Eastside Girls Club, which offers youth programming for middle- and high school-aged girls.

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” debuts for a second season on Dec. 5.
