City Seizes SoHo Pizzeria After 7 Months: Report

A city marshal has seized the pizzeria La Rossa in SoHo, according to a report.

SOHO, NY — Just seven months after La Rossa opened on Lafayette Street, a city marshal has seized the pizzeria, Bowery Boogie first reported.

Rome's top pizza maker Stefano Callegari opened the pizzeria at 267 Lafayette St. in December, bringing his famous pizza empire to New York City. But a New York City marshal appears to have shuttered the pizzeria and the landlord of the building now has legal possession of the restaurant, Bowery Boogie reported.

The marshal's legal possession notice is dated Thursday, July 11 following a warrant from the city's Civil Court, a photo published by Bowery Boogie shows.
