Dating App Bumble To Open A Wine Bar In SoHo
The SoHo spot will reportedly serve "date-friendly" food.

SOHO, NY — The online dating application Bumble will open a coffee shop and wine bar in SoHo this fall, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
Bumble will open up a wine bar this fall called "Bumble Brew" — where the dating app company will serve $12 to $16 wine glasses and "date-friendly" food, Bloomberg reported.
A spokeswoman for Bumble confirmed the new cafe Tuesday.

"Our users want experiences; we know that from our data," chief-of-staff at Bumble Caroline Ellis Roche told Bloomberg.
The permanent space builds on a SoHo pop-up dubbed the "Hive" from two years ago, per Bloomberg.

The bar plans to avoid any foods that could lead to awkward encounters during dates or business meetings, such as burgers, chicken wings or spaghetti, per Bloomberg. Bumble, the app known for letting women message men first, will offer programming such as networking events and date nights.
Bloomberg reported Bumble Brew will partner with Delicious Hospitality's Grant Reynolds, also behind the Italian eatery Charlie Bird in SoHo. Reynolds will be curating the wine list.
Per the Community Board 2 calendar, Reynolds was slated to present Tuesday night to CB 2 for a wine bar license for a "meetup space bar/tavern" at 47 Prince St. at Mulberry Street, Bowery Boogie first noted— though Bumble would not confirm whether that is the final address of its new venture.
