Large Fire on SoHo Rooftop Injures Four Firefighters
The fire department brought under control a fire on the roof at 51 Greene St. in SoHo a little after 9 p.m.
SOHO, NY — A three-alarm fire broke out on a condominium building roof in SoHo on Tuesday evening, according to fire officials.
The FDNY was called to a fire at 51 Greene St. at 7:58 p.m. A fire department spokesman said they had 60 people on scene. The fire was brought under control a little after 9 p.m.
Four firefighters suffered minor injuries in the fire, with two being taken to the hospital. No civilians were injured, an official said.

The six-story building built in 1900 has landmark status as part of the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District. It was designated as such back in August 1973. Art gallery Arcadia Contemporary is located on the bottom floor with five residences above it.
Initially, the FDNY said the fire was at nearby 50 Wooster St.
