Flatiron Health To Expand Its SoHo Headquarters

Flatiron Health, a healthcare technology company focused on cancer research, will nearly double the size of its SoHo headquarters.

SOHO, NY — A healthcare tech company will nearly double the size of its SoHo digs, the company leading the lease expansion, Savills, announced Thursday.

Flatiron Health, which was founded in 2012, will take over nine of the 15 floors at One Soho Square, Bloomberg reported.

The technology company, which focuses on expanding cancer research, will take over more than 252,000 square feet — nearly double its size, per Savills.

The expansion will add about 200 full-time employees to the company. Currently, it has about 800 employees.

Nat Turner and Zach Weinberg launched the company — motivated to improve cancer research after Turner's seven-year-old cousin was diagnosed with a rare leukemia, according to the company's website. The company runs a platform of clinical data from patients with cancer from across thousands of clinics, medical centers, and hospitals.

"We are humbled that Flatiron has chosen One SoHo Square
as their HQ and wish them tremendous amounts of success as they continue to grow," said Ryan S. Jackson, principal at Stellar Management, which owns One Soho Square with Imperium Capital.

The lease restructuring prevents Flatiron from relocating hundreds of employees, according to Savills.

"We are thrilled to support Flatiron’s growth by continuing to expand our space at One SoHo Square," Carol Jensen, chief people officer at Flatiron Health, said in a statement. "Since relocating our headquarters last June, we’ve grown from 500 employees to over 800 — with 200 more expected by year’s end."
