Hugh Jackson Reveals 'Wolverine' Movie Title on Giant NoHo Billboard

The actor tweeted a photo of himself posing under the billboard on Bleecker Street and Lafayette Street on Wednesday.

NOHO, NY — Star Hugh Jackman revealed the megapopular X-Men franchise's most recent Wolverine film title on Wednesday — and he did it on the side of a huge building at Bleecker Street and Lafayette Street. The Australian actor, who plays Wolverine, will be appearing his ninth X-Men film as the adamantium-infused badass.

The third and final film in the Wolverine saga will be called "Logan" and is expected to be released on March 3, 2017. Logan comes from the nickname, though not real name, of the main character.

The film is directed by James Mangold, who directed Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line" and the second movie in the Wolverine franchise, "The Wolverine." "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was the first film in the trilogy, released in 2009. Jackman first played the Wolverine character all the way back in 2000 for the original "X-Men."
