John Mellencamp Buys Soho Loft

SOHO, NY — John Mellencamp bought a new home in Soho last week for $2.3 million, according to city property records.

The "Jack and Diane" singer paid for a fancy pad on Grand Street near Wooster Street in Soho, according to the property records. The news was first reported by The Real Deal.

Mellencamp signed for the 1,800-square-foot loft on Jan. 9, city records show. The property was first listed for $3.15 million in 2015 before it was re-listed at a lower price in 2016, according to The Real Deal.

Mellencamp is rumored to be dating the actress Meg Ryan, who bought an apartment at a celeb-studded Tribeca building last year.
